Their traditional ceremony and joyful Ovation Chicago wedding reception brought together years of memories, family, and friendships. It was a bright and joyful day full of love and color in the city. The team at Nikki Kate had the pleasure of capturing everything from getting ready at The Godfrey to dancing the night away at The Ovation for a truly amazing couple.
Getting Ready at The Godfrey Chicago
Their morning began at The Godfrey Hotel Chicago, where both Chantal and Luis spent the hours leading up to the ceremony getting ready alongside their closest friends and family. Those private moments leading up to the ceremony are often some of the most meaningful to capture. One of the sweetest moments came as Chantal’s mother helped her with her dress before the ceremony. Those emotional interactions are a key part of wedding galleries & the memories they’ll look back on years from now.
Elegant Chicago Church Wedding
After getting ready, Chantal & Luis made their way to St. Procopius Catholic Church for the ceremony. The church's ornate architecture, soaring ceilings, and beautiful artwork created a timeless setting for their vows. After years together, this moment felt especially meaningful. Family and friends looked on from filled pews as they officially began their marriage surrounded by generations of loved ones. The ceremony was traditional & heartfelt, and what followed was pure joy.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to The Ovation Chicago for the reception. One of the things that makes The Ovation Chicago such a sought-after wedding venue is its versatility. The space offers beautiful natural light, exposed brick walls, and an industrial design that feels both modern and inviting. It functions as a blank canvas while still providing plenty of character on its own. Aesthetics aside, this venue includes a generous list of included amenities spanning from practical details like ample seating to unique features like a vintage photo booth & a 1959 Rolls Royce. Every corner of the property feels thoughtfully designed for celebrations and it was the perfect location for Chantal & Luis to celebrate with their family and friends.

As guests entered the reception space, they were greeted by soft pastel florals, glowing candlelight, and personalized details that reflected Chantal and Luis' style.
