An Elevated Pazzo's 311 Chicago Wedding

Newlyweds pose for a bridal portrait before their Pazzo's 311 Chicago wedding.

When it comes to classic, old school Chicago wedding venues, it doesn’t get much better than Pazzo’s 311 Chicago. Jon & Sarah’s winter wedding was the most romantic and love filled celebration. They fully embraced the February date with classic yet modern details and a red, white, and black color palette. Their day was a beautiful tribute to their Chicago love story and we are so excited to share how special their day was!

Getting Ready in the Palmer House Chicago Suites

Jon & Sarah’s morning began inside the Palmer House, where the atmosphere felt distinctly Chicago. Dark wood, warm lighting, and historic details gave the early hours a quieter, more reflective tone. They got ready in separate Palmer House Chicago suites surrounded by their bridal party. Afterwards, we took advantage of the elegant interior and downtown Chicago backdrop for bridal portraits. The moodier setting created a natural contrast to the lighter & brighter ceremony gallery that later followed. From the grand staircase to the vintage elevators, to the sidewalk portraits where Sara wore a fur stole, Palmer House was a great start to a classic wedding day.

Jon and Sara held their ceremony and reception at Pazzo’s, a classic Chicago venue. Planning a wedding at Pazzo's 311 Chicago offers a setting that naturally balances structure with flexibility. If you're drawn to a space that shifts seamlessly from bright, open ceremony to a more intimate evening reception, it’s a venue that supports both without compromise. They’re well versed in wedding planning and go above and beyond for couples. They offer transparent pricing, private suites for those who want to have everything in one place, and a dedicated event specialist to assist.

For ceremonies, couples have choices. The atrium, where this couple held their ceremony, is lavish, versatile, open, & airy. However, they also offer a room called the enclosure for couples seeking a more intimate space with ambient lighting. Pazzo’s as a whole is fantastic option altogether!

Their atrium ceremony at Pazzo’s  felt both elevated and effortless, allowing every detail to stand on its own. Sarah walked down the aisle accompanied by both of her parents, where she met Jon who greeted her with a smile on his face. The florals stayed true to the overall palette, with red and white roses paired with baby’s breath. Against the brightness of the atrium, their details felt timeless and elevated.

After the ceremony, the energy changed quickly. Champagne was poured, and guests enjoyed cocktail hour while the space transformed for the evening. One of the strengths of this venue is how easily it shifts between moments, without ever feeling rushed or disconnected.

Elegant Pazzos Wedding Reception

As the evening continued, the atrium took on a different character. What felt bright and open during the ceremony became more intimate under lower light. White linens, candlelight, and a Rococo-inspired cake created a setting that felt both traditional and current. The heart-shaped cake, finished with cherries and vintage toppers, added a subtle layer of personality without pulling away from the overall aesthetic. Candles filled the tables, and the room carried a softer, more ambient glow that naturally shifted the mood of the celebration.

Jon and Sarah made their entrance down the staircase with a level of energy that set the tone for the rest of the night. Signature drinks, an espresso martini and a Moscow mule, circulated as guests settled in for speeches and dancing. Instead of a traditional guest book, guests were encouraged to sign a personal message on a vinyl record.

The dance floor stayed full, with guests moving between conversations and celebrations without pause. It was the kind of evening that didn’t need much direction. The space, the people, and the pace of the day all worked together to carry it forward.
